Razaniyyat – رزانيّــــات

I was born in the US but never lived there, I went with my parents to KSA where we lived for 10 years in Jaddah. My parents are Syrians hence they went back there where I lived for 12 years.

After I graduated from English literature department in Damascus University, I wanted to pursue my studies so I went to Lebanon where I lived there for the past four years doing my masters and a little bit of activism.

Lebanon had a huge impact on me and I think the person I am today has very much to do with Beirut, precisely Hamra street, and the amazing people I met there.

I enjoy photography, drawing cartoons, and writing Arabic articles which I do not do most of the time.

I am vegetarian, Anarchist and genderqueer.

A person who cries genuinely while watching Daddy Long Legs cartoon.

I will be writing on my Anarchism and queerness later on this page but I am in the middle of writing my thesis on Iraqi Jews’ literature right now so wish me luck and stay tuned!
